LED on SMS stops blinking after 5 min

On the 6.5 ROM, I found the fix to do the SMS bubble in a few posts below, but i'm not sure how to fix the LED issue.

When I get a SMS, it blinks, then it goes away after 5min. I dont like to turn my screen on all of the time to see if I have a message, that's why I like it to blink until I clear it.

I noticed under the sounds and notifications section where you check display message on screen, below it shows... flash light for....then a drop down box that is grayed out with 5min.

I want to change it, yet I dont see how since it is grayed out.

Does anyone know how to get that so I can change the 5min?
