New update rebooting computer?

Anybody know why this is happening? It'll just start installing and my phone is in the bootloader and it'll freeze computer and reboot....

I have no idea why that is happening, I don't think the ROM update really does anything to access you're own personal computer system files. It is maybe you're computer but I'm no computer genius, what OS is you're computer running? shitsta oooh my bad i meant vista? or XP or W7 ? :D

I'm using XP. That's the only reason I can think of, this computer never reboot since I built it last year.

Restart your computer, and as it is booting, immediately start pressing F8
When the boot menu appears, enter Safe Mode
Then use your computer in Safe Mode to flash your phone.:)

I'm not sure... hmmm, anyone with computer knowledge mind stepping in here :D

I've never personally have experienced this, have you tried leaving you're pc off for a bit, run a program called CCLEANER, run it and such... to delete simple junk files, also then try updating it once more, if that fails then download the plain NBH from here

http://www.2shared.com/file/12220373...8d/RHODIMG.htm

well actually no need to download it, just extract your current exe and rename the nbh to "RHODIMG" make sure the full name after wards is "RHODIMG.nbh"

put it in you're sd card and flash from phone :)

edit: thanks austin! I would thank you but.. ermm.. it won't let me thank people anymore lol! :D

Hmmm, I'll give it a shot later. Can't I install it from my sd card?

Yeah, just Cali said above, extract the .nbh file from the .exe file, leave it on the root of your sd card, rename it RHODIMG.nbh, shut the phone off completely, toss it into bootloader and she'll flash from there. The sticky says that the sd needs to be formatted fat32 but I've been told recently you don't need it in fat32 format for the TP2, so give it a shot and if it doesn't work, you'll need to reformat the sd card, but you will lose EVERYTHING on the card when you reformat, so keep that in mind.

Edit: Cali beat me to it...

your computer rebooting could mean that your PC is encountering a blue-screen - if so, your PC might be rebooting before letting you see the blue-screen. To prevent this,
  1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System
  2. Go to Advanced
  3. Under the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings...
  4. Under System Failure un-check "Automatically restart"
This way, you will be able to actually see the blue sceen (assuming that is what is going on) - search the web for the actual reason code and go from there.
