What the hell is "S.O.D."?
 

every forum i go in, i hear sod this sod that, 'i just experienced my first sod' , 'i do sod 5 times a day'. Is it a new theme for your phone? When I try to search for it, I get a not enough character error. please help.

its when your TP2 just goes to sleep and you can't turn the phone back on by pushing the power button. You have to open the case and use ur stylist to reboot or pull the battery. It's been happening to my phone for no apparent reason. I was running the phone S.O.D. free since the TP2 was originally released until about a month or so ago...

It means the screen of death. But actually, in scientific terms SOD actually means superoxidase dismutase. Interesting stuff huh?

There use to be a Rock 'N Roll band called 'Stormtroopers of Death'. When I usually think of S.O.D., I think 'Speak English or Die'. Not an acronym that I ever use.

Try removing your memory card when this happens. For me the phone wakes back up, and I have not had it happen since....

I guess in this phone-related forum, it means Sleep of death but in other computer forums, it's usually screen of death. Or more specifically, BSOD (Blue Screen of Death).

Used to mean Share or Die (it was a website), then I got the TP and it meant Sleep of Death. Sometimes you will see BSOD which is Black Screen of Death (Blue in windows) or LOL which means Laugh Out Loud which is what most of us are doing to your post.

You know, you may be onto something. I remember back on the 6700, this was a prevalent problem that was never solved until the chefs came around. It was related to processes that looked to the storage card while the phone was asleep. Maybe the same sort of issue?

By the way, I've been having this problem as well, regardless of ROM or radio.

I had this problem for about a week before i got tired of it. I just took it in and they replaced it within 20 minutes
