Google erased my stock youtube app! Please help/
 

I have a Verizon touch pro 2 running the stock 6.5 rom. The other day I downloaded the new google youtube app just to test it out. After I realized it didn't compare to the stock app I went to switch it back. However I found that the google app REPLACED my stock youtube app. Now I am trying to get my original app back. I tried to uninstall the google app...that just left me with no youtube app at all.

Any ideas?? Or perhaps an original HTC youtube cab?!?

Check the windows folder it should still be there.

You are right, It's in the windows folder.....now how do I get the icon back on my device...kinda a noob question I know.

tap and hold on it then press copy then go to windows>start menu>programs>multimedia and press menu > edit > paste

Ok, last question....The cut and paste worked. I now can run my stock youtube app however the icon on the start menu is a "folder" not the youtube icon......Any more help?

It is a folder or just the icon is a folder icon?

the icon is a folder icon....when I click on it it opens the youtube app.

Hmmm.. thats weird. You could change the icon on your pc (there is probably a way to do it on your phone but i dont know of any app). But as long as it works fine i wouldnt worry about it
