No I have PdaNet installed, but only run it when I am actually tetherd with my laptop. Which is hardly ever.

so was your tp2 802.11 network adapter set to "Use server-assigned IP address"

edit: there are 2 802.11 adapters, make sure they are set to server assigned.

If you want to test "your" wifi connection using WEP, you can find backtrack here...

I can not help you use it, google (and YouTube) can help....I am not even sure if I am allowed to "talk" about this.

I can't help me use it either. I checked out the site. Looks like scary stuff and way over my head.

Both 802.11 adapters are set to "use server assigned IP address."

I know this thread is a few months old, but I hope I can be of some help.

Check your Router's setting to see if MAC filtering is turned on, if it is, turn it off. I was having the same exact problem as you were with my TP2.

Here is a post I made over in the MightyRom thread explaining how the MAC filtering on my router got turned on by accident.

Yep I was going to suggest MAC filtering on the router side when I saw the title of this thread pop up.

Question though: does the TP2 have a MAC id?
Cause I would think people don't want to have to go into their routers to fool around with turning MAC filtering on & off.

Any 802.XX device has a MAC address. If your toaster has a wifi card, it has a MAC address.
