There is no application associated with..... error
 

I have the Sprint TP2 and have been trying (for a week) to get another ROM loaded. I've downloaded this:"Energy.RHODCDMA.23544.Sense2.5_with_Cookie_H omeTab.Mar.09.7z" and placed it on my card, then made a shortcut to my start/programs file.

In either case, when i click on the ROM i get the "there is no application associated with " insert file name". Run the application first, then open the file from within the application. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN??

I've read all kinds of tutorials, searched, and cannot find the answer.
I even tried to install the lastest flast utility and get the exact same error.

Please help?

u have to extract it in ur pc with WINRAR and put the file after extraction in ur memory card!!!!

What if the ROM does not have a WINRAR extension? Such as .7zip (unless that works with WINRAR also).

THANK you for at least pointing me in the right direction!

Is there a sticky that tells you this procedure? I've searched for hours upon hours looking for the right procedure.

7z can b extracted with WINRAR or u can visit for more information... and glad i can help u!!! :)

ok, so now what.

I extracted both the Feb 7th Flash Utility, and the ROM to the card.

I ran the flash utility, and now my phone is locked up showing a RED/GREEN/BLUE/WHITE screen. What am i supposed to do from here?

EDIT: i got the phone up and running again. Took the battery out.

I found where i was supposed to take the /RHODIMG.nbh file out of the folder and place in the root file.
Then i completely shut off, and re-booted holding the volume down/pwr button. It went into flash mode (i assume) and has now been sitting in Loading...... for quite some time. Hopefully its working.

well, guess thats not it.

If someone wouldnt mind helping a "newbie" through this, id appreciate it.

I've got the files on my card, know that i need the file to the root (which i did) and not it just sits there in: Loading.... after i get the 4 colored flash screen.

Is ur card formatted fat32? Did you change the name of the file to RHODIMG.nbh? If not, you need both of these done before flashing from sd card. Check out the sticky from corneilius about flashing from SD. Here ya go http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=95375

Fish, i wasnt sure if it was flashed .....so i went ahead and flashed it again.
Now my phone wont even recognize that i have a card in it!

This only gets better and better......

Stupid question, but are you HSPL unlocked? It's actually fairly simple from sd card, get it into bootloader (tri-color screen), it's gonna tell you something like push power to load or vol down to cancel, hit power up (or whatever the hell it says) to load the ROM and let it do it's thing. You may need to reset after, some will do it on their own, but that's it. BUT the sd card must be formatted to fat32 and the ROM file must be named RHODIMG.nbh and in the root directory of the sd card. Shoot me a PM if you have other questions.
