I believe this thread can be closed. I met with the OP this past Saturday, spent a couple of hours explaining different things to him and finished by unlocking his phone and flashing a custom ROM. He has my number and he can also post here if he has any more questions/issues. Thanks to all who offered to help him out.

Yes I did meet up with piedra, very smart man and spent all weekend playing with my new phone! :D

Definitely got rid of alot of butterflies and going to try flashing a few roms to see which one I like.

Thanks to all who offered to meet up. Might still take you guys up on it in the near future.

I live in a tiny little town outside of Worcester. And here I am thinking I'm the only one around with a TP2. I never see ANY PPCs around. Almost everyone has a blackberry or an iPhone. Glad to know we got "peeps!"

your logic makes no sense. what if the person you have flash it fries it out of error or never doing it before? you think a stranger is going to pay your insurance deductible.
