Click on Email tab and open INBOX

Anyone know what regedit needs to be changed to make this happen?

Running 6.5, When tapping on the Email Tab it opens a small summary by default. I would like it to open the Inbox automatically.

HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\Manila\Configuration

I dont know which one is your setup given that people change their tab configuration. Mine is in the third one in the row so the file I would open is 3. Look at your tabs and which ever it is from left to right is the folder number that it will be in. Change it to what ever you would like it to open, soft reset and there ya go.

Mine is also 3 but I don't see how to assign it to auto open my INBOX. Here is what I see in the "3" folder:

Name Data Type Size
Default (value not set) REG_NONE
Enable 1 REG_DWORD 4
PageName Manila://email.page REG_SZ 38
Title [[IDS_EMAILTITLE]] REG_SZ 36

I don't think it's possible Manila seems to just link it's tabs to it's own mini apps within it.
I suggest just mapping all of your softkeys on one side below manila to just take you to inbox, that might be simpler?

When I have some time, I was planning on doing some LUA hacking and modifying the Manila home screen to have a messaging notification buttons (similar to MaxManila), and when clicked they will open the respective inbox.

I'm not new to scripting/hacking, however manila is a very wild beast to tame. But this is something I really want to see, and I'm actually kind of upset no one has done it yet! (Even max manila just links those notification buttons to the HTC tabs... WHY?!)

heh- problem is I've been really busy lately, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of people who feel the way we do about it.

*sigh*
