Well first of you posted in the wrong area but no big deal the mods will move it for you, In any case even though you are on a gsm network I dont think its possible.

I've seen where the dialler will support it, won't help if your network/provider doesn't...

Moved to the Touch Pro forum.

Re: Video call on TP2 CDMA

what I want to know is how exactly does the video call work? can it only be done w/ other people who have the TP2?? I noticed in the 'help' file it says there is a camera on the front..where exactly is this camera?

I tried calling my friends iPhone 3GS, another's Nexus One, and my wife's G1..all were standard calls as far as their phones were concerned. Using Tmo GSM..

I wanted to know the same thing but what i have concluded from the threads that I have read is that we cant do it at all. Which is a good and bad thing. Bad because it would be cool to see people while talking to them. Good, because when someone asks u where u are at and u want to lie, the will remain able to.

Re: Video call on TP2 CDMA

To the OP you cannot do video call for 2 reasons

1) your on a cdma network

2) The cdma version does not have a front camera

You can do video calling via the back camera, VOIP + speaker phone but not natively

As for the T-mobile..I am not 100% sure but I think you need video call option in your dialer..probably best is to ask T-mobile whether they have support for video call or not..some may even charge different rates for video call

Skype and GTalk for windows mobile do not support video chat at this moment.

you may be able to do it over Fring or use the option a user suggested above with Qik for live sharing of video.
