Is there an app that shows what is draining my battery?
Some days my battery last all day and has 50-75% left at the end of the day. Some days it's dyeing by noon. I use the same apps in pretty much the same way every day. I can't figure it out.
I'm running the stock 6.5 from Verizon. I use Skyfire, Opera, Opera mini, FB 1.5 and I usually exit the app when I'm done with it. I receive about 20 SMS messages a day. I send maybe 1-5 messages a day. The display is off 80-90% of the day. My average call time is usually under 30 minutes. Is there an app that monitors resource usage over a period of time and tells me what is draining my battery on the bad days? Thanks. |
Re: Is there an app that shows what is draining my battery?
I just installed acbPowerMeter (you can find the cab on the site if you search) to track my battery discharge rates. This is a good way to see what is going on, though it will not pinpoint the source. It will create a time/discharge rate plot, which is very helpful. Post your peak and average values to see if you can get some feedback.
I also set my mode of operation in the "phone/network" section to "CDMA only" rather than "Global", so it is not searching for GSM towers. Finally, I uninstalled one app that looked suspicious and turned off the GPS function in another. That seemed to get my battery drain problem under control. Good luck! |

I Noticed charging the setting to CDMA only did help my battery life but nothing major.
