Cab to run UC anytime (Now .NET exe)
 

Sometimes when I flash my rom, I like to not install anything before checking it out. This helps identify potential conflics and not load applications already being installed by the Chef.

Having said that I hate to spend the time to flash twice and I am a big fan of UC (I automate every cab and setting).

You will have a link: Start --> Tools --> Run UC

Version 1.1
Replaced MortScript as the execution mechanism with a .NET assembly. Requires framework 3.5 (most custom ROMS have this).

Version 1.0
This cab requires MortScript to run and will allow you to run UC anytime (assuming you have a ROM that supports UC)

thanks very much for this tool.

however, i installed it , there is a sdconfig.txt file located on the root of my storage card, but when i tap the icon for Run UC i get this message:
Run UC.mscr

the file "Run UC" cannot be opened. either it is not signed with a trusted
certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. if the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.

i reinstalled it and get the same message. i've even copied mortscript.exe to the same directory as run uc.mscr.

can you help me?

Sounds like you do not have mortscript installed. See the link in my post.

it is installed with the ROM yes? i'm using NRGZ 21892 sense 2.5 Feb 26 version and there is a mortscript directery with mortscript.exe in the program files directory. im assuming that all means that it is installed.

He stopped registering the application a few versions back, so the file associations do not work. I am using the same ROM and have to install it.

I posted in his threads several times to let him know, but it has not been fixed.

Would this be usable with SDConfigGen.exe? Would you move all of that into storage card root AFTER first boot, or some other way?

I have two verisons of the SDConfig.txt file in the root of my storage card (and two SDConfigGen directories on my PC).

The first on just installs this cab and copies a mort script to switch swap in a new SDConfig.txt (the full version) and run UC.

So basically - I do a very thin initial config and then once I am ready, the more robust one.

Yeah, I was thinking of something similar, but instead of the mort script in the first one, just an initial simple sdconfig.txt for this cab and a folder/file copy of the big stuff from a subdirectory on the storage card to the root, so I could run this program later. What do you think? Will the sdconfiggen created sdconfig.txt overwrite the initial one with the file copy?

It would help if you told me what is not working for you.

Things you need:

• ROM that supports UC
• .NET Compact Framework 3.5
• SDCONFIG.TXT file in the root of your storage card

is there a way to get the progams i install to open up in a specific folder i.e. CleanRam in Tools folder

Modifying the cab file is the only way to get the icon to appear somewhere else.
