Email Setup

I'm trying to set up a new email account on my TP2. My yahoo account works fine, but can't get my geneseo.edu account to work. It never shows any new emails even when there are new ones there. Am I missing something or is there something different about .edu domains maybe?

Have you reviewed the following wiki self help page from the school? - LINKY

also, check your settings in terms of how often your device downloads the message to your phone.

Odd. I checked that wiki and I had all the same settings but decided to delete the account and try again. Same results UNTIL I used "Setup New Account" as opposed to "New Account" from TF3D. Works fine now, thanks guys

Good news! I'm happy it worked out for you...

YES! I'm glad you got your problem resolved OP, its been very troublesome w/ all these HTC overlays. I kept on adding my account and instead of showing "Yahoo" on the tab, it would show my complete email address. Had to find MSFTs messaging area to delete that account, then add again, worked like a charm.

It's so pointless to have two of everything on these phones. I don't know about other carriers, but so far on Tmo, there are 2 Contacts, Messgaing, an Email areas...
