iv heard that too but i still think it drastically improves batt life whether they admit it or not. another thing...car chargers are rapid and the juice u get from them wont last as long as ur average wall charger so if u only charge in the car try plugging in at night before bed. just fyi.

dont kno if anyone mentioned under settings power adjust the 'turn off backlight if not used for' and 'turn off device if not used for' time limits. I use 30 sec. on batt power and 1min on external power. also killing aps in the task manager...mostly internet, will help. if u stay connected to a web page it will drain ur batt in no time. device lasts for a week or two on airplane mode but im sure u use ur phone...still an option if u kno u wnt be using ur ph for a period of time...ie in a meeting, at work, driving.

Having data connection open uses nil. Active data transfer is another story.

Deep cycling is just throwing battery life away.

Number of tasks does not matter either unless they are actively doing something. Memory doesn't care if it's garbage or a dormaint program.

point proven some ppl are believers in deep cycle and some are not. and as far as data is concerned...see for yourself... i found that leaving my data open my batt lasts a few hrs...when i keep everything closed i get bout a day to day n hlf batt life. airplane mode week to week n hlf... u can decide for yourself. just puttn it out there not sayin anybody is right or wrong...its what works best for u that matters.

This may be a stupid question but with this reg edit will my phone no longer mute the ringer once it's put face down?

What helps for me: when charging my battery, and the green led goes on, I unplug the charger and plug it again.
Battery will start to charge again for 30 minutes or longer...

Since I do this, my battery lasts much longer....just try it!

i can get through a 12 hour shift at work with heavy usage with 2 batteries, second battery at least 50%. tonight i am getting my azzed kicked at work so i'm still 75% avail on first battery.
i keep my backlight on all the time (unless i turn it off), and phone set to off after 10min.
I really hate when my porn gets interrupted on skyfire.
p.s. somehow, gt2l clean up cab had great battery settings, yet didn't shut the backlight off when skyfire video was playing. wish i knew how he did that.

Yes, this will turn off the mute on face down.
