Issue with new Facebook Application for TP2...
 

I am using the newest version of Facebook app for the Sprint TP2 and having some issues. I tried the version in the marketplace, which I believe is called 1.0.0.14 and the newer 1.0.0.17 as well, and while both appear to allow for commenting on posts, I find myself unable to actually record any comments.

When I click on a post, I can pull up the comment box, I am able to push the lower soft key to post it, but the comment never shows up, even after refreshing the prior page.

Is this a known issue? I tried to search for it and didn't see anything, so if there is a post about it already and you have a link, I'd appreciate any advice or direction...

Anybody else notice this issue?

I recommend that if you had .14 installed you complete uninstall it and find all temp files and delete them. Then install .17

Yeah it's clear to me MS really doesn't care about their Facebook application. I get this same problem and when I try to post on other's walls, it posts on mine. All in all, facebook for WM=fail IMO. Try lite.facebook.com if you want full features.

thanks, at least I know I'm not crazy... I can't believe they went out of their way to tout an option like "comment" that was clearly lacking previously, and yet it doesn't work... as for prior poster, I did in fact clear out 1.14 before installing 1.17 so I don't think that's the issue, but appreciate your taking the time to respond...

Install the new 1.1.0.17, it's supposed to be the newest. I got it from the market place and it works beautifully.

I'm having trouble viewing albums in the WM version. I'm using .14, I'll try .17. Also, Facebook in HTC Albums don't show the albums (says user has no albums to display), this after copying. the facebook.dll file. Someday WM will figure it out... when we don't really need it anymore.

the user has no albums to display message is 1 of 2 things..

1. your on a custom that has issues.

2. the person your trying to view has applications blocked from gathering info. try another person...i have gotten it before

also past 3 versions worked for mt on my tp2 i post most my post via my tp2
