Us Cell TP2
Hey Guys,
Been offered a new job, and the only down fall about this job is it takes me into an area where sprint service just doesn't exist. Went in and looked at the HTC Touch Pro 2 from US Cellular. Phone, functionality wise looks about the same as the other touch pro 2's out there. So if I've missed some threads out there for this phone specific to us cell let me know. If you have one tell me what you think. If you've played with one from another carrier does the us cell one seem crippled compared to other carriers. Thanks in Advance |

I used a hacked version of Garmin Mobile XT. I bought it, but it comes on a 2gb card. I didn't want to keep switching the card. So I hacked it to read the serial on my 16gb card and think it is the one it was installed on. It works great. Just wish I could find the instructions again, but it is gone. |
Re: Us Cell TP2
I Have the us cellular version, and it is pretty much the same. It is 6.5. The sprint version is runnin 6.1. A couple themes i have found play weird with stock, but i wasnt on stock long. It doesnt have a navigation like sprint does, but google maps is a simple cab install, and i use iGO8. FANTASTIC! Other than that, same phone.

Re: Us Cell TP2
Ok More USCC questions. Anybody using wmwifirouter or the registry hacks for internet sharing? Also does uscc realized what your doing?
Let me know |
Re: Us Cell TP2
I teather it once in a while, but not for a long time. A few minutes or so. Never got caught. But I am ending my Internet with Comcast ($49.95 a month) and will call USCC to start tethering ($15 a month) Unless like you I can find a way to hook the computer up to my phone and not be caught.
