using speakerphone with headphones?
 

is there any way to use the speakerphone mic. while headphones are plugged into a cdma touch pro 2? i was driving home from work today and decided to plug my phone into the car stereo for the first time to listen to music- when suddenly i got a phone call. I answered without picking up the phone and it was a nice hands-free solution that didn't cost me a thing, or at least i thought it would be. The person on the other end couldn't hear a thing, and i had to lift the phone up to my ear to speak.

Has anyone thought of this before? do you know anything i could do to make it happen?

unless ur vehicle comes with bluetooth capabilities you can do that...but then again I seen some online a device that you can purchase to do the same thing. I can't recall what it was called though, u might wanna just to google.

well i have auxiliary input on my car, so i have the headphone jack of the TP2 plugged in and it plays music through the stereo, or when someone calls their voice goes through the speakers too. problem is the phone expects me to speak into the mic, so i have to bring it up to my face, i was hoping to be able to have the speakerphone mic on, so that i can keep the phone on my lap or on my center console and carry on a conversation while listening to them through the car stereo...basically what i want to do sounds easy but is probably difficult or impossible- when headphones are connected and a call is connected, is it possible to turn the phone on 'speakerphone' mode, be it automatically or not.

Did you attempt to talk with the phone face down? (so it was in Speakerphone mode?)
Did you hit speakerphone button on the dialing screen?
