tp2 in europe

taking the phone to france and england, it has been so good to me i owe it. my plan is to buy a sim with phone and data. might have to play around to find one that covers both countries, dont know yet, any advice on carriers would be appreciated. will i have tethering problems? gps? text? tp2 is sim unlocked for world right? and, of course, what have i overlooked in my quest to rapid-fire questions?

*deep breath*
thanks in advance,
wobumang

if you want to use data on your phone while taking your phone on vacation, contact sprint regarding their unlimited data roaming plan. it's $60 a month but if you don't use the whole month, they pro-rate it for the days that you did use it. and then just buy a local sim card. that'll save you some money.

I am in France now and have not been able to tether using PDANet but allegedly the regular Sprint USB connections works. I have not used this as I am concerned I'll get charged. I have not had the time to test all this out, but the $60/mo data works fine with Skype attached.

why don't you just get a local sim card and then use Wi-fi when you can...I'm sure the UK and France have loads of wi-fi spots all over.

Yo Doc, what 's up man? I am near Spain, and here are the facts, my facts that can be your facts:mrgreen:
TP2 is ready to use outside of US, no need to unlock jack isht nomasyin:scratch:
Local Sims are best, pop it in and you are set to make some calls after adjusting your settings(GSM ONLY under phone/settings)
Wifi is plenty, make sure you dowload skype

Basically it is simple.

Re: tp2 in europe

My vote is get the Sprint SIM, the cheap roaming dataplan and use mobile Skype. Works like a charm for $2 a day.

Has anyone a safe solution for the tethering overseas?
