deal-up connection from PC (WinXPsp3) using TP2 as a modem
How can I setup a deal-up connection from PC (WinXPsp3) using TouchPro2 as a modem?
I have studied the manual and understood that in general this sort of connection is not basically supported. What they offer is to setup the dial-up connection on the TouchPro2 and then to use internet sharing option. Unfortunately, this will not work me, as I need this connection for CompuServe, which uses own software for dialing-up. What I need is a modem driver for HTC TouchPro2 (USB or Bluetooth) to be installed in my PC, so that CS will detect it as a modem and will setup required connection. I have installed MS ActiveSynch, it was written during installation that my modem drivers are updated, but the new modem has not appeared in the list of the modems. Could you pls. suggest solution ? Thank you very much in advance. |

sorry, can't use the 'modem' to dial 3rd party isp. there used to be CSD (circuit switched data) available for this, but never worked all that well.
your stuck with wifi or cell carrier to provide data to the phone. |
