Flashing roms problem

I just unlocked my tp2 today and flashed a couple roms on the problem Im having is that with the 6.5 builds from where the clock flips to right above the soft keys its all white and when i scroll over to programs its white all the way through like a pano white lol so I figured maybe its because the weather isnt set up so I set it up and then I lose the HTC Sense (gets stuck on the screen that says tap here to load htc sense). Anyone else experience these issues? or have a solution? Unfortunately Im with sprint and its looking like Im going to have to go custom rom if i want 6.5 so any help much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

PS> I can see the clock and where it says add location/alarm ect. but its behind it and below it that is all white. I cant see the call history and things like that.

PPS> I did do a hard reset and try to download roms 2x thinking it may have been a corrupt download.

Once again much thanks in advance!!

Which Roms are you experiencing this with? It sounds like a ROM related issue.

It is the sprint lovers stock rom I tried older builds and the newest one and it always does it.

Not too familiar with that one. Post a thread where you grabbed that and those ROM users should be more familiar with it.

In my flashing experience, some ROMS work well, then later ROMs act buggy, and I'll have to go back. Some work great, others are tricky.

Some people recommend flashing to stock then flashing a custom ROM, but I have never done this and have been happy.

If you are looking for a great ROM I would recommend Energy ROM Phoenix or Leo. Been using them for some time now and love em.

I have heard good things about Mighty Rom and Juicy, though I cannot vouch for them.

Good idea, Ill try that and let the person who made the other rom know for now I guess using a different rom is the way Ill have to go. Thanks again for the help.

Yeah As He Says, Alot of Cooks recommend To Flash To Stock First than Custom Rom. Also some people say that If you Hard reset like 2 times before custom rom than after custom rom hard reset again(maybe 2 more times) and they Say that it helps it work better. Not sure if its True but Wont hurt to Try Right?

which rom did you flash? have you tried pulling the battery for a minute? have you tried a hard reset? have you tried putting it into bootloader mode?

To get into bootloader mode

Make sure your phone is off.
Press the end call button, vol down, and power button
That should do it!

If you can at least get into bootloader I would leave it there and try flashing Mightyrom, its clean and works great.

Wow, that can't be good. Maybe the battery is no good. If not, you have a truly bricked phone my friend.
It would help to know the ROM you tried to flash. Maybe you flashed a CDMA ROM and you should have flashed a GSM ROM.

maybe it is truly bricked. I have a CDMA phone and flashed roms on it from time to time but maybe i accidentally flashed a GSM rom that was in a CDMA thread on xda.. but if so that i did brick my phone....would it just shut the whole phone down so it wouldn't even respond to a wall charger showing signs that its charging

XDA is a great site although a lot on that site is GSM. I was warned about that sorry you probably were not. Also, from what you are saying it does sound bricked. I was hoping you would be able to get it into bootloader and try a different rom. Well good luck.

Not garbage. There's some threads floating around here on how you can damage your new paperweight in order to get your carrier to allow you to get a replacement phone for a $100 deductable (Going rate from what I gathered) using your insurance instead of paying full retail for a new one.

Heard stories of everything from a 10 second microwave nuke to sticking a 12 battery with some wires in the charger port to fry the internals. :P

Note: I don't advocate doing ANY of this. I'm just saying it's what I saw on the forum.

The 10 second microwave nuke does work, I also dont condone doing it but I do know someone who ended up do that because all it does is erases all the data on the phone so when insurance opens it up there is no traces of what went wrong. Good ol HTC making TPs with a magnet base.

Re: Flashing roms problem

if your phone doesnt power on at all they will most likely replace it for free at a sprint store just dont tell thm you were trying to flash roms, but if you dont wanna take that chance why not just reported it lost instead of risking blowing something up.it could be the battery.A real brick looks like a static tv on your phone screen there was a thread on it here sometime back.well it sucks your having phone problems hopefully all works out for the best, goodluck.
