Mac Users: Any solution to usb internet sharing with mac?
 

exactly as the title says looking for a way to teather my tp2 via usb with my mac with 10.4.11 for internet sharing. if anyone could point me in a direction of a solution that would be great.

Search for the WIFI-Router cab
i have a mac, and works like a charm

yeah i have the wifi sharing just horrible on the battery thats why i was hoping there was a usb fix by now atleast i have a backup thanks.

Why not just connect your phone to your computer through the USB port (set it to Disk Drive mode) and turn on wifi router... That way you're charging and using internet at the same time!

This is exactly what I do. Pretty much a break even. It won't 'charge' the battery, but it won't 'drain' either.

I may not be able to assist you 100% with the USB tethering on a mac, but if you are running Snow Leopard, you will need to delete a file called CellPhoneHelper.kext.... You probably will not find much detail online about it, however I discovered on my own that it is NOT much of a helper.

you will find it located at

/system/library/extensions/CellPhoneHelper.kext

ok started to try with wifi router and i get to the point where it says connected as a computer to computer but it dosent pass internet through any idea why? im new to macs so im slightly struggling

well couldnt get wifi sharing to work no matter what i tried. after a little searching i found a thread on xda and using syncmate and ics .21 i have real usb teathering awesome!!
