Youtube player not playing videos
 

Anyone else experiencing this? No matter the settings I choose (fast dl/high quality/auto-select or any region), I can bring up search results, load descriptions, my wi-fi is most definitely working just fine, but no flash videos. I just hangs on Connecting with the radial loading animation and after a while will give me a connection error timeout.

I tried a couple videos using Skyfire and they loaded and played fine. I greatly prefer the Youtube app, though, would love to get this fixed, appreciate any help :)

wut rom u got installed? i know opera 10B messes with it amd some taskbar apps, and the wrong 1% battery driver has messed mine up before

Oh snap, 1% battery driver? I installed one recently, it's this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=556318 It's even the doggone Sprint version for my Sprint phone, I wonder if that's it! I will uninstall and post back, see if that changes anything.

Oh, and stock ROM...

Okay, I can confirm it's not the battery driver, I uninstalled and soft reset, videos still hanging the same in YT player :(

Fire up IE NOT Opera and browse a couple of sites. Close it and retry YT.

this is related but not directly,

my YT player is constantly buffering... If plays everything but it constantly stops to buffer. Is this something that everyone is experiencing...?

Okay, I fired up IE and it won't load Flash segments of sites. Closed it and same deal with YT player.

Apologies - now I remember that fix I mentioned was for YT app running but not even downloading any results to view. Usually occurs after one clears their IE cache manually by deleting files.

anyone know how to change the HTC youtube app's cache location to use the storage card rather than main memory? When viewing HD videos the main memory gets filled up fast when youtube videos cache to it.

Swype 2.0 caused mine to stop working. Uninstalled and it ran fine. Then installed it again and it wouldn't play. Now it's uninstalled. Going to try a different version of Swype to see if it'll work.
