Re: custom rom lagging

is ur phone unlocked so that u even have the possability to flash a custom rom?If u havnt unlocked the phone yet then flashing it will be impossible.there are plenty of threads and posts that will tell u how to unlock ur phone. If u want to check and see if its unlockd then try to get the phone into bootloader mode by powering off ur phone, then hold down the volume down button and then push down on the top power button until a tri-color screen appears.if no tri-color screen appears then the phone is most likely still locked. For most first time rom flashers i think that flashing from the sdcard is the easiest to do.in my opinion.first just use ur PC to download the rom u want to try,2nd using winzip extract the .nbh file from the rom and copy it to the root of ur sdcard. Then rename it to RHODIMG on the sdcard then just take it fom ur computer and insert it into ur phone when its turned off. Then,if ur phone is unlocked, after u insert the sdcard then put the phone into bootloader mode.(phone off, hold down volume down button, thenhold down power button)if it workd right then u will get the bootloader screen and that will change to a screen that will say to update press power button or to cancel press volume down button.push power button.then when its all done doing its magic.then do a hard reset to purge any leftover files or anythn els left over from the previous rom.i even know of 1 local technician that always flashes a phone twice,i dont know why,but he swears by it.

actually i didn't flash it....i had a tech guy do it for me.....he has flashed many peoples phones and knows what he is doing for sure.....he said he unlocked it so that i could flash something else if i wanted to. he did not tell me what rom he put on here .....i love it but it just lags on my a little....everything just moves slow every now and them and my text message will freeze some....i don't know if it is just a glitch or what....not a huge issue but one thing i know is that my battery life is brutal now since the flash....i have read on here to turn off push mail but i will not receive work email if i don't have it on....frustrating.....plus there is nothing running in the background because i check that everytime i close something out so that i can conserve battery life...

Ummmm wrong..... you can get to the tri color screen the way You said, BUT you CAN GET THERE even if your phone is locked. If it is unlocked your SPL should have OliNex on it ie 1.00. OliNex

So you had a guy FLASH the SHIPPED STOCK SPRINT ROM? Ummm did you know that is the SAME ROM that came on your phone. If you are unlocked then you can flash a rom in the CDMA UPGRADES. Also if you like the stock rom have you done a HARD RESET? That may fix your lag, it did for me when I was running stock. And as far as this tech guy who flashed your phone, make sure he is legit. Cmonex and Olipro made it so you can't just flash several phones on the same computer or IP address unless YOU PAY for it. Just make sure you didn't get ripped off considering you could unlock YOUR personal device for free to flash custom ROMs.
