What is the fastest ROM?
 

hi all just wondering your recommdndations of what will be the fastest ROM. I went from the touch pro 2 to the HTC Hero and again to the touch pro 2 and I find it slower this time I guess. Maybe I got use to the differnt touch of the Hero screen but I am struggling with the performance of my TP2 now so I would likthe fastes ROM available. I am currently using Mighty ROM with the latest sense and even when it is stable it does not seams that fast to me. Any help will be appreciated

I'm thinking you're not going to get a straight answer, but I wish I knew this to. I never realized how much time it apparently takes to just get this phone to work like one would think it's supposed to.

Haha thats like asking for the cure for cancer.

I found Mighty strong point has been stability, good internet speed, solid internet sharing, pretty folders, but kinda slim on extras.

Of course with so many flavors out there you just cant settle on one, sooo,
unless your going to cook your own,
I advise you to start your own journey into rom-flashing frenzy!

EDIT:
AHA, you just hinted your possible problem... using LASTEST Sense=2.5 wich is slower than a HERO Sense.
Ya my brother has a Hero & I set it up/activated it for him, so yea I played with it & its nice.
Try any rom with Sense 2.1 for speed, or go hardcore with no Sense, or even try SPB Mobile shell interface...

stock rom is fastest. Next fastest is blackout rom(6.1/2.5), followed by silence rom (6.5/2.1)

this is the type of question thats gonna get you a ton of answers, but there all gonna be that persons opinion.
best to just flash a rom and try it out for yourself.

someone should compile a torrent with a collection of roms
sure they wont all be up to date after 3 days or something
but you can always get the latest one after you find one you like

you cant make dynamic torrents yet can you?

For the longest time I was running the stock rom with tweaks, booted 40%-ish free ram.

Decided to try a few roms, first tried SsS which was good, but now I'm running Neodium which seems as fast and maybe even faster and it's on 2.5. Battery life is amazing, it's stripped down very well, I'm completely happy with this ROM.

JD's rom is pretty fast, and stable. No eye candies, and everything works out of flash for sprint users.

I think his was one of the other roms that I was going to try early on, but decided to wait until more of the bugs were worked out.


I imagine that the bare naked ROM would be close to the fastest, if not actually being the fastest. But it seems to require a bit of installing and tweaking to get it anywhere.
