silencing ringer while listining to music
 

Hello i looked around but didnt find anything so my question is this i like to listen to music while im studying in the library now its great with the 3.5mm jack as i can use nice headphones. BUT the problem is that when a phone call comes in my phones ringer goes off and everyone give me bad looks.

when i try to silence the ringer the music gets muted too is there any way to make it so that i can listen to my music and have the ringer on vibrate or just have the ring routed thru the headphones??

Well, this isn't a total solution per se, but I use Nitrogen as a music player & even if the ringer is muted, the music isn't. Maybe try Nitrogen?

hmm havent tried it yet cuz media player was good enough for me till now but will give it a try. Thanks for the tip!

I tred the nitrogen player but just couldnt get to like it.Is there any other option??

What I do is turn off sound notifications or turn off the radio. I prefer to remove the sound notifications of txt messages as Im driving or at work most of the time so Its better for me.

Go to settings "via manila, touch flo or wha ever its called)
Sound
single volume OFF
This will give you both system and ring control

voulme adjustments wont work. it may be tedious, but u have to go to sound/notifications and turn off sounds for texts/calls/emails/etc.

or turn off ur radio.

Maybe i dont understand. But docnas issue is Lowering or muting the ringer while maintaining volume for music.

When u disable single volume. you have control over two things.

Ringer - which can be lowered or silent
and
System - for music and to what you reminded me of...email and text.
So if texts n email is an issue then yes you have to go through the tedious process of disabling each notification.

ok i seem ot have something weird going on when my phone is n silent and i plug in my headphones the phone goes off silent ie the sound bar goes back to its original position ( for me full volume) and i can listen to music BUT when a call comes thru the phone vibrates and doesn't ring so that to be honest was what approximately what i needed so thanks guys for the help and hope if anyone else has problems this helps them also.

this only seems to work o some roms so far it has worked in MightyRom (War) and Indagrooves rom .

Energy rom didnt provide this functionality.
