Threaded SMS driving me NUTS!

I can;t find the option anywhere to turn it off. I want classic view. I've read here for two hours and none of the options posted are available for me. Is the registry hack the only way to turn this off?

It should say Start -> Settings -> System -> Text Message, then change the drop down box that shows up

Nicely done strra! as always!

Your cab disables the WinMo threaded SMS process when selecting the left soft key - All Messages.
But doesn't disable the threaded with small reply box if we select straight from the TF3D screen.

Question - do u have a cab that disable the TF3D method with the small reply box & just brings me straight to the old WinMo threaded SMS (like in all mssg) like the old TP1?

on the stock 6.1, you can go open file explorer and go into the windows folder. tap on menu and select show all files. then scroll down until you find "SMSInboxThreading". tap and you'll be able to switch between classis and threaded.

edit:
this doesn't solve the TF3D threading tho.
