TP2 text tones help
 

wanna be able to add custom tones for like 3 of my contacts. So far I have read on these forums about adding text tones for every contact. the only thing I have found for individual people is Ringo which is easy to use but it blocks my alarm from going off and it wont save the text tne for any contact so it doesnt do what i need it to do. any other suggestions on different programs or some way to fix ringo?

I don't know how to set a DIFF text tone for each contact but on my TP2 I have a text tone for ALL texts... I put a ringtone in storage card/my documents and it allows that ringtone to be set as a text tone in settings...

also been wanting this for many years, but never want to waste $ on an app that vaguely suggests it can.
actually what I really want is to be able to tell msvc to only read txt's out loud for certain contacts.
wait a minute, wasn't this something sim card phones could do? how?

get a program called JUST TONES http://www.1touchmobile.com/

this will allow you to assign different text message tones to contacts, change notification tones etc etc etc.. I use it on my TP2 and it is awesome!

I tried the just tones trial and didnt work worth a crap on my phone. it only showed 1/5 my contacts and the touch screen didnt work very well defenatly not worth $10

the demo does not let you configure ALL your contacts.. you have to buy it to see everything.. I use it and it works 100%.. I have a touch pro 2 and it works GREAT! trust me.. its the best program for what you want to do....
the author of the program responds fast to fix issues. Its not a finger friendly program so I use the stylus and the keypad to do things.. but it does exactly what it is supposed to.. I tried other programs and they didnt work...

I have all my ringers and message tones and even notification tones on the memory card and it allows me to use ALL of them even though the built-in notification tone selector only sees tones on the internal memory...

wish I would have read this 30 minutes ago. I just bought ringo 1.5 and of course it doesnt work it wont save my contacts. anyone have a fix?

I tried ringo way back when I had a treo 800W and it didnt work.. it doesnt let you set notification tones which was a big thing for me...Just tones works 100%.. I say go with that... I dont know what you mean by DOESNT SAVE CONTACTS as I didnt try ringo on the TP2..
