Turn off screen when listening to Windows Media Player
 

Newbie here. Does anyone know how to turn off the screen when listening to an MP3 on Windows media player? When I press the backlight button, it pauses my music. I don't want to drain the battery needlessly.

If you can't do this with WMP, is there another media player you would recommend?

I have windows 6.1 with Sprint.

Try installing this cab. It works for most people, but results aren't 100% guaranteed... not sure why. It works for me! :thumbleft:

I use this Shutdown cab. After you install it hold your red phone power button until it comes up, bottom right click menu then sleep button action, then hit lights out. Now you can tap the big Sleep button at the top and it will only turn your backlight off, phone will still do whatever you had going in the background.

or you could avoid all the tweaks ect, and get kinoma. it is 1 of the only 2 apps I've paid for. keep an eye for a sale in the ppcgeek store, or do the trial pay.. well worth the 15 i payed thru a deal on ppcgeek.

bump... i just did a hard reset now if i press the power button, it pauses the music. before i did a hard reset, i could turn the screen off and listen to music... the screen would even still turn off after 1 minute like i had it set to do. Does anyone know if i cah change this through the registy?

PocketPlayer (not free) will play with power off.

ive grown attached to the tf3d player so id really like to get keep using it if possible
