Question about flashing

I flashed the energy rom onto my tp2. I had to wipe the device once because it didn't boot. Now i''m on to it again and it's too slow and want to flash the mightyROM on it.

Do i have to use hardSPL on it or can i just flash it without using it?

in order to flash, you have to unlock with HardSPL, but once you have unlocked, there is no need to do it again.
