When replacing LCD screen protector..

When you remove the clear screen laminate that protects the screen from scratches, does it leave any kind of residue or anything behind..?? I want to get a new one because I got a longgg hairline scratch in mine but I'm nervous to take it off thinking it will leave some sort of residue that will make a new one not look so good... Thanks...

If you are talking about the stock screen protector that came with the phone, there is no residue.

But if you are talking about a screen protector that you needed to dip in water or a substance in order to apply it to the screen, I don't know.

There's always going to some minimal residue, but it'll wash off. Follow the instructions found in this link and use the same water to clean the screen. Works great.
