Re: Edits I've found

[CODE]
No more annoying beeps and the volume changes quicker
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\LoudestInCallVolume
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\QuietestInCallVolume
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\StandardInCallVolume
within each of these keys the default 'Script' value is 'p' for 'play'...
Change the 'Script' value to blank (erase the 'p')

I noticed on my phone that when I hit silent for work that if I just hit silent again it automatically goes back to the volume it was before I hit silent. Also just realized today that you can just touch and drag the volume up and down on the screen instantly.

Re: Touch Pro2 Reg Edits/Stuff to backup

It seems like nobody can give an answer about how to configure "X" to close all the apps instead of sending them to the background, I found this post on another thread but I got stuck here...

User: chas123

If you are using the HTC task manager (drop down in upper right corner) you can set the x button to close Opera by going to:

HKCU\Software\HTC\TaskManager\TerminateProcess

if the dword "Opera9.exe" exists set its value to 1
if it doesn't create the dword and do the same.

There are cabs around to do this for you if you do a search.

Me:

I can't find this path

HKCU\Software\HTC\TaskManager\TerminateProcess

I only found

HKCU\Software\HTC\TaskManager\

Do I have to create a new Key with "TerminateProcess" as name?

I figured out that if I create a KEY named "TerminateProcess" and I add inside this KEY a DWORD named "AnyAppNameYouWant.exe" then it might work but I haven't tried it yet.

Re: Touch Pro2 Reg Edits/Stuff to backup

just go to settings> all settings> system> task manager> hit the button tab and check "end programs by tapping "x"

...or if you want the actual regedit to do this (since that what this thread is technically for ;) ), make this edit:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\TaskManager]
"Enable"=dword:00000001

sperdue....thank you but I don't wanna install any cab to do this, I know if you have a cab installed in you phone then your answer would be the best, thank you though :)

Eschelon....thanks bro for that, I'm gonna try it and I'll let you know what happens, thank you!!

wasn't there a registry to smooth out scrolling as well as manila/sense scrolling?

I believe that jgjce was asking how to enable/disable the TapAndHold functionality for the [X]. Not sure, but it sounds like the above Regkey is an enable/disable for the whole HTC Task Manager??

I found this one, which is specific to the Tap And Hold functionality.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\TaskManager]
"EnableTapAndHold"

When set to 1, you have to TapAndHold for your programs to close (short tap just minimizes them)
When set to 0, any tap on the X will end the program. (only way to minimize is to hit the End, Back, or Start menu keys to jump out of that program)

The edit I posted does not completely disable HTC messaging (even though that's what the regedit looks like it does)

All it does is force close programs when tapping 'X' instead of minimizing them

Either way, now he has both solutions :thumbleft:

Love this rom. Been waiting for an update on the 6.5.5 roms from MM. Just one thing....I REALLY like the whole start button at the bottom thing from 6.5.5. Is there some kind of reg edit or app that can do that?

The start menu at bottom, is not a reg edit, it is in the build. It is either 6.5.5, or 6.5... ex.. 23566 will give you start menu at bottom. 21903 will give you start menu at top. you will see these builds refered to as 23xxx or 21xxx alot in the forums.
