WM6.5 screen lock disables the no slide wakeup hack.

Sorry If this has been asked, I've searched in several forums with little to no results.(probably using wrong words to search)

I've tried many Custom ROM's(most 6.5.3) and all of them act the same with this issue. If I have the hack in place to keep my phone from waking up when sliding it open or into my case with magnets on the flap, the hack is disabled when the default wm6.5 lockscreen is turned on.

I know this may not be an issue for many people, but every time I lock the screen and put it in my case, it unlocks the phone (The magnets on my phone case make the phone think that the keyboard has slid open).

Does anyone know a way around this? I'm kinda tired, so I hope this makes some sense to someone.

Bump:
Doesn't anyone have this issue, or is there just no fix for it?

I got exactly the same problem. the phone always wakes up in the pouch and drains the battery.

I'm pretty sure that there's a way to fix this with the registry settings. I just can't find the reg keys for the slide lock.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that sees this as a major problem.
Not to mention the embarrassment of accidental calls made while it's in the case.

Either a solution to this problem or a way to disable the OEM lock on the phone and use the S2U2 that I really like and use. Since I'm using the S2U2 and not the WM-lock, I would like to remove the WM lock from my device or at least turn it off so it cannot be accidentally turned on.

Before I found the S2U2 lock, I was about to turn this phone back in to Verizon as I "butt-dialed" too many people and embarrassed myself more then once.

We do need a solution for this if available...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Hardware\DeviceMap\Keybd, then create/change the 'SlideWakeup' dword to a value of 0. Save and soft reset. This is the reg edit for the no wakeup on keyboard. So far for me this has worked since i also use a magnetic side holster.

That did work to disable the slide mag lock issue. Thank you...

I will disable my S2U2 and try the Win6.5 lock for a while and see which I like better. Even with the regedit, I still might want to use the S2U2 lock, if so, can the Win6.5 lock be disabled or removed so it is not turned on accidentally?

Thanks...

I just tested. It worked well. Thanks.

I've used this regedit since the ppc6800, but it is somehow disabled when using wm6.5 lock. If I don't lock the phone this regedit works, but if I try to use the wm6.5 slide lock it wakes up and unlocks when you slide the keyboard open then shut.

I want to be able to lock the screen and not have it wake up in my holster with magnetic closure, because everytime you switch from roaming to home, or get a text message, the screen comes on and can accidently dial people.

It must be working for other people though.

still gives me issues with 6.5 when I wake the phone up, it sort of hangs before Sense comes back to life.

I've had this issue as well. I've not been able to really find a solution except to stop using my magnetic pouch.

well I've finally got something working. I was using a custom ROM that would not hold no wake on kbd slide reg setting, while locked. I am running a different ROM now and it works fine. I really miss the other ROM, so I'll have to let the chef know and see if he can fix it in his next release.

there is an autodevicelock settings in the reg, or the other thought would be sliding sounds. \

So far this has worked for me. I could repeatedly get the phone to unlock just by waving the screen infront of my holster flap and after the reg hack it is not doing that. Have had no problems yet, so "Thanks" clicked!

Does anyone know if there is a similiar reg key that disable the stylus wakeup. I don't want my phone to unlock when the stylus is pulled out.

TIA

Re: WM6.5 screen lock disables the no slide wakeup hack.

Has anyone found a solution to stylus sensor question? I have same problem. I have 2 Touch Pro 2 devices and both have same issue. If stylus is in phone constantly wakes with slight movements. If stylus is out the everything is fine. I have tried changing the stylusoutstatus in registry but, it just changes back

I've removed the styli and put it in my pocket.

well, your off topic a bit, but I think for the sylus no2chem had a hack for the tp1, but not sure it works for tp2. I'm thinking that you should be able to trace down the hardware id for it and disable the hardware driver.
