MMS fix for Sprint TP2
 
Whats good ya'll. I've flashed my sprint tp2 with the Energy.RHOD500.21891.Leo_04.Feb.2010ROM. But I'm having a problem with sending/recieving MMS. When I send a mms, it says HTTP: Send Get Request Failed. Can anyone walk me through on how to resolve this issure...plz.

You need to install ArcSoft MMS cab file for Sprint MMS to work on your phone. You can get the cab file from here:

Hey I tried downloading that cab before and installing it. But nothing seems to be working. Is there anything else I need to do, like registry edits, or mms server?

Yea bud, install this cab. If it doesn't work the first time, hard reset then install it. But it does work 100%! I actually just got this cab from Jaybell4444 (All credit goes to him!) because I was having this problem too!

Let me know what happens.

ok once I install this cab, will mms work out-of-the-box? or do I need to edit some registrys, or something in the mms server settings?

DUDE IT WORK!!! Thanks alot guy, I really appreciate this...now I can truly enjoy my energy rom.

quick question...
i just have the ROM im using in my SIGNATURE...
and i get the same error message and arcsoft came installed on this rom... do i have to reinstall the cab to work? or how do i fix that error? Thanx

(EDIT: just installed the above file posted, which i had and didnt know lol... and it worked!!! YAY!!!!! lol)

There is no fix to get mms working with htc messaging client. You can disable htc messaging client for mms and use things like arcsoft or sprint picturemail, but you won't be able to send mms through htc messaging client on Sprint. I'm guessing it is impossible since HTC themselves did not include htc messaging client in the Sprint sense 2.5.2011 ROM...

I'm on HTC tp2, latest energy rom and installed arch link above http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=596245. MMS still not working for me. Tried to go into setting and entered name: ppcgeeks, gateway: blank, server address: http://messaging.sprint.com, connect via: sprint, Send limit: 1024k. All under the CDMA servers tab under messaging options. Set it as default and still nothing. Getting error message about "MMS PDU missing mandatory fields" and "information and message delivery failure or message receipt failure". Please help. Can't see this being that hard but can't seem to figure it out. Thanks.
