SMS/MMS Message Sent Notification
 

I posted this a long time ago, reposting to see if anyone has figured out how to disable it yet!

I’m using Verizon TP2 With the stock 6.5 update(also had this problem on the stock 6.1). Whenever i send a text message i get a Pop-up window notifying me that the message has been sent. It has “ok” in the top right corner that I have to click to make it go away or wait like 5 seconds or so. This is not the normal sent notification that people are used to, it’s a separate bubble/pop up window that comes up! I’ve tried the normal reg key edit and the Disable SMS sent notification Cabs.

I txt a lot and this thing is probably THE MOST ANNYOING THING EVEEEEEER! Plz help!!! ](*,)

I got rid of mine on my sprint tp2 with a simple registry edit. go to

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\SMSNoSentMs g=1 (Sprint Only)

It should be a 0 there, change it to a 1, wait a few secs, then soft reset

Thanks puff, however, this fix only enables and disables the message that comes up from the bottom of the screen. The window I am referring to pops up in the center of the screen. Maybe it’s a Verizon thing…

Can anyone tell me what program to use to take pics of your screen so I can link a screen shot of what message box I’m getting?

Ok, here a screen shot of the message i am talking about!! In the middle of the screen, "SMS/MMS Message Sent"

Darren ive tried the Disable SMS Sent notification cab, but i think it does the registy key fix, and thats a different sent notification than the one i want to get rid of.

that one cab fixed mine, you can always turn off notafications in "sounds/notifications" what rom is it?

This is the correct key, you need to change it to a '2' and not a '1' or '0' to get rid of the popup notification. After changing it, soft reset and it should go away. I've attached a cab that will make the change for you as well, you'll still need to soft reset to see the effects.

Ok, I tried the cab file again, still didn’t fix it… A Verizon thing maybe?

I honestly want to take my phone back cause of this message, it drives me insane! I’ve tried several different registry fixes, cab files, and changing all kinds of settings and have had no luck getting rid of that little pop up notification!!! If anyone else has any other ideas I will try them!

After installing the cab to disable sms notification , will there be any notification if the SMS FAILED TO SEND??

That looks annoying as hell. I wonder why they changed it from the notification to the actual message box. Yuck.

I installed the zmark SMS messages as read fix.cab on a customers phone today to fix the unread message count. It did not work so I tried to uninstall it and it is not in the add/remove programs. Now he cannot text at all. Incoming is fine, outgoing gives him an error. Of course I found this out after he left the store. I am scrambling to find a fix for this without doing a hard reset. If I were at home I could tear about this .cab to see what it installs so I can reverse it. If anyone has a fix for this or could quick reverse engineer this dumb thing and recab it up for me I would greatly appreciate it.

Ok guys im having the count issue. I am running the vzw stock 6.5. Does anyone have a cab that will fix this and not mess up the sms. Thanks in advance!

I found one that works without breaking anything. Its not a cab...you dont even install it to the phone. Just put on your SD card and run from there, it checks all forms of messaging and fixes any errors in the registry for you.

The cab you're looking for is called "fixunreadcount." I have it but can't post it seeing as I'm at work. I think someone posted it in Mighty's WAR thread near the end.

This works great and all but for some reason, everytime I recieve a message this key gets set back at 1...causing this bubble to return next time I send an sms...does anyone have any idea what may be causing this registry key to reset itself?
