"Message Delivery Failed. Or Message Receipt Failed" - SMS?
 

Why do I sometime get this popup when I text?
"Message Delivery Failed. Or Message Receipt Failed"

It appears my counterparties gets the messages but this is annoying esp. since it only allows me 2 options to "retry now or retry later". Not to cancel. This potentially leads me to duplicate send texts.

Almost as though the SMS sent notification cab has a side effect.:???:

Is there any preference as to what network the SMS for Sprint should be sent over?
I have the following options under Advance Network Settings > SMS:
GSM
GSM Preferred
GPRS
GPRS Preferred

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint Touch Pro 2)

mine does this every 1ce in a while... seems to happen when a txt is coming in at the same time im trying to send 1.

Yea - noticed that as a symptom.
Also have been getting notified of my duplicate txt because it sends out on its own.

this happens to me every single time i try to send an mms(pic text) .. EVERYTIME! .. i click retry now & no other pop ups happen & i ASSume text goes through .. some ppl say they have gotten a pic from me others i have no clue id they get it .. its a p.i.t.a .. any1 know a fix or y this happens ?

bump ... been using bignadad's maxmanilla rom for about a week now. DIdnt change any settings and all of the sudden my mms is failing.

Anyone have any insight of some things I can try ? ive sent and received emails with this mod; just for some reason, it stopped working.

happens when you send and receive a sms at the same time.. as far as mms goes, your data has to be on, if your running a data disconnect cab, then it wont work. and op, update to the sprint 6.5 update,,,gets rid of the sent notification, so you dont have to run the cab
