[SPRINT][M2.5]MMS Workaround
1 Attachment(s)
Sprint Manila 2.5 MMS Arcsoft Workaround -= SPRINT ONLY =- This is not a fix but rather a simple cab to workaround the limitation that sprint user have with the latest Manila 2.5. I have combined several cabs that have been floating around to make MMS work with the latest manila. What this cab does is disable the M2.5 Messaging client and revert back to a M2.1 style courtesy of Zenyee. You will see new MMS in your threaded HTC messaging window, however, you will have to do the Arcsoft shuffle to send. Arcsoft version 5_0_94_128c |

Thanks man works like a charm on SSS

Re: [SPRINT][M2.5]MMS Workaround
As always, great work Cmylxgo. I really don't like the 2.5 messaging client to begin with so your cab fixes multiple issues for me.

Re: [SPRINT][M2.5]MMS Workaround
nice, i also hate the 2.5 messaging. will make sure its running on Merdin's rom.
Just in case some one might want to post the "arcsoft shuffle" here. |

Re: [SPRINT][M2.5]MMS Workaround
is it correct to assume the arcsoft shuffle refers to elephants workaround meaning pictures have to be sent thru htc album?

Re: [SPRINT][M2.5]MMS Workaround
Have noticed since installing that my screen no longer wakes upon recieving a sms and the notificiation does not stop sounding til I wake the screen manually (continually vibrates then has audible notification once screen is on). Also seems to keep notifications from clearing on texts, phone shows new msgs but I have deleted all. Currently using MightyRom War, going to flash the update he released last night to see if that solves the issue and then will update post.

Re: [SPRINT][M2.5]MMS Workaround
Mine is not going away even after responding, does clear momentarily when new is received though. The waking issue is most likely due to pocketshield. I have noticed in the past there are some things that don't jive with it perfectly. Thanks for trying to figure this out.
Edit: Did just notice that the notification does clear itself after a soft reset so there is just something tat is causing the phone not to recognize the msg has been read. With this problem happened in the past, opening the default wm messaging app would clear the icon but that method doesn't seem to work either. |

Re: [SPRINT][M2.5]MMS Workaround
so I'm still a little confused by this. I installed the cab on the first post to my device memory, but I'm not sure if its working or not. Can i send a mms to myself to see if its working?
I don't know if I know exactly what the arcsoft shuffle is either. I'm using sss r5, and im under the impression i go to the pics tab, click albums, find the picture i want to send, click it, have it send thru messages and send. Is this correct? when i try sending something to myself it just comes thru as a txt message. Thanks for any help. EDIT: Nevermind, that was the wrong way, i got them sending and receiving now. only problem is the sms counter bubble doesn't seem to be working. That link to xda didnt seem to help much, except saying to reset if that happens. Anyone else know any better work around? |

Re: [SPRINT][M2.5]MMS Workaround
Hi guys. I think I accidently installed this program on my unlocked htc touch pro 2 sprint phone i just got. Im using Tmobile Service with the phone and I thought that installing this cab would help fix my MMS problems cause I was not sending or recieviing them. After I installed it i noticed MMS still wasnt working. I believe my SMS was still working. I only had a problem when I tryed to uninstall it by going to systems them "remove programs". After that I couldnt send SMS messaging. I tried to uninstall it but for some reason it still shows on my installed programs list. I tried reinstalling it and uninstalling it. It still shows on my install programs list. How can I take it off so i can start recieving SMS again! help.
I think my rom is Afflication 2_5 or something like that |
