VZW TP2 Appearance Upgrade
 
I am on my third TP2 as of today. Just got my new refurbished replacement in the mail. It's different then my other TP2's that I've had since October. The bezel on the one I received today is a gunmetal grey color, rather than the plain gloss black. Its a very nice touch. Although it makes the face look better, when looking at the TP2 from the side, my old back case and the new front bezel colors clash. Just my two cents. Thought I would inform my fellow PPCGeekers on the updated appearance :mrgreen:

Sounds like you got a Sprint Touch Pro2 housing!
Wow,HTC must have run out of the Verizon Touch Pro2 housing,or could have also been a mistake as well.
Who knows, but hey, enjoy it man!
Wish I could say the same about your service too!!!

Hahaha wow, I never thought of that. Looked up images of a Sprint Touch Pro 2 and thats definitely the housing I got. It still has Verizon branding at the top, yet the rim/bezel piece is that of a Sprint model. Sweet deal! :headbang:

yeah thats definitely wrong because in the img003 you can see the display on/off button has a power sign on it, but for verizon tp2s you have to use the end key to turn it on/off.

also what android are you running and how do you like it? can you switch between android and sense?

I never noticed that until you said it. Like I said, I just got this replacement phone in today.

I am running the Android build from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=616483

It's not fully functional, just to mess around on. But, you can switch between Android and WinMo. It runs off your SD card. Once in Android, simply soft reset and your back into Windows Mobile. Also, there in no sense in this Android build. I believe its the 2.0.1 build, not the one off of the Hero or Eris. Hope this helps. Any other questions just ask or PM me.
