Text issue
 

i've reverted back to the stock rom since i had gps issues with the 5.?? whatever gps download.

Um when i get texts and send texts it doesn't show them right. It has all mine grouped together on the top and then the received ones after. How do i get it back to showing proper order?

must use the sprint 2016 text messaging hot fix. it is a problem with the time stamp on the text messages. it will need to be reapplied after a hard reset, although its fixed in most custom roms, the sprint rom it is not and probably will be adressed in the update we may soon recieve.sorry i cant find the cab file on my pc, but this is where its located

thanks... i hadn't noticed cause it didn't put a 16 on the time stamp just the month and day.

You absolutely do NOT need to do a hard reset before installing the official patch. I installed it on my stock ROM before I switched to a custom with no hard reset at all and it worked fine. Not only that it even fixed the dates on the existing text messages that showed 2016.

Just to clear this up after I read it again, if you were to do another hard reset in the future this would need to be applied again, but since you are back on stock already you can install it without another hard reset.

i did not mean to do a hard reset first. i said it would have to be REAPPLIED(as in applied AGAIN) after a hard reset as it is a hot fix. a hard reset will will take it off. also the link i provided has instructions im sure the op will read before applying.

That's why I edited my post, was only half reading your original reply as I work in the middle of the night .
