Well if that's all true, I'll be moving on. I want the next Android phone with a horizontal sliding keyboard.

If MS is making me start all over anyway, I might as well start with Android. Even if they were equals (which they are not since Android allows multitasking and installing apps you got from outside the app store) I would still go with Android.

I have to voice my displeasure the only way I know how- with my wallet.

Tried to tell me what- to get an iPhone? LOL, not in a million years. Even with these huge steps backwards Windows Mobile took today, it is still miles ahead of the iPhone.

Going to Android is one thing, but the iPhone is out of the question. Every single issue people are complaining about in Windows Phone 7 is also an issue with the iPhone.

No doubt, for business users, not going with the iphone is a no brainer.

The new model it seems is for revenue flow for the companies and less say in what we do with our phones.

I am pretty sure this is my last winmo phone.

Too bad.

WinMo is dead. This is a sad day.

LOL...it's far from dead.

It sure isn't an OS I'm likely to find much use for, and I think that is probably a pretty common feeling for most people at a sight like this, that are into hacking and tweaking their devices....WM 6.X will live on for us.

However, it is the type of OS that fits the needs of the vast majority of users who are heavily into social networking, Xbox, music, and so on. Windows 7 integrates all those things very well, and should be very popular with people looking for that.....It will sell millions.

Guys, I mean eventually our hobby is gonna go the way of the dodo. As much as I enjoy the ROMs, at the end of the day if it comes down to more apps or more ROMs, I gotta go with the apps. Now, we'll see if Android can give us the best of both worlds but as of right now, I'd rather stick with Microsoft and enjoy this more controlled world.

Browser: New, but still IE-Based... DONT CARE, wont be using it
Zune integration: DONT CARE
XBOX Integration: DONT CARE
Social Networking: Built In... DONT CARE

While it isn't vanishing, my thought is that when it is ready to go, and on phones, other devices will already be ahead of the curve with their OS.

Coming Holiday 2010.... By that time, it will be old news and an old OS.

The way I see it, ms is too little too late. The damage is done and android is taking over. Won't take long for android to outsell both the iphone and winmo phones. I'm on my 4th different winmo phone (starting with winmo 5 and now winmo 6.5) and if anything it's gone downhill. I've lost my faith in microsoft and now that android is out and it's fast, stable and has tons of apps I will be switching over soon. With all the money MS has I don't think winmo will completely die, but they will be following from here on out for a long time. I don't have any faith in winmo 7. They're gonna do the same thing they've been doing for the last few years...enhance the looks to make it all nice and pretty and have crappy code behind it making it slow and unstable. Hate to break it to all the hard core winmo users, but you will remember my post when you get your hands on your first winmo 7 phone.

I think MS needs to do alot of advertising and fan fare in order to get and keep WinMo7 out there to the masses. I can already see a Mac like ad from Droid and iPhone about having to learn a new OS and switching everything over just like Apple did with the release of Windows 7. Like it has been said before, unless MS does something, WinMo will become a null point and Droid or the iPhone will become the truly dominant OS inphones. WinMo will simplt become a niche OS.
