TP2 Issues: SMS Delay & Word Completion
 

Issue #1: For some reason my text message reception/notification is being delayed. Messages sent to me at, for example, 9:35p aren't popping up until 10:00p (they still show the time they are sent, not the time my phone decides to tell me). I had Diamond Tweak and specifically set it to "wake when receiving SMS", thinking maybe that was the problem.

Issue #2: When I use the keyboard I can't get word completion/suggestion to cut off. I've gone through settings/input and unchecked all the boxes related to word suggestion. It stopped it when I use the onscreen keyboard, but it still pops up when I use the physical keyboard. It's annoying as hell and also takes up a big chunk of screen.

Update:
For the SMS issue, it seems that my texts are only coming through when my data connection is on. Not sure how that happened, since they should come through at any time the phone connection is on, NOT data.

I switched from my Palm treo pro to the HTC touch pro 2 and had been noticing a SMS delay problem too.

Here's a detail of my sms problem:

If I just type something and hit send and the "sent" notification doesn't pop up then there will be a delay and the person I'm texting won't get it until later. But if I keep closing the messaging program and re-entering it then I can receive text and send text normally. My issue seen to be the messaging software but I'm not sure, because when a text won't send...it will send right when I close the messaging program and re-enter it.

So, an update to this. I spoke to Sprint Business support, and I gotta
say, those guys are MUCH more helpful and technically savvy than the
other groups you talk to there.

They found that the messaging service hadn't been provisioned to my
account properly. There was an "agent" missing which means the messages
will ultimately get to my phone, but not in any timely way. They
re-provisioned everything and now things are cranking.
