Touch pro 3 and Hero 2
 

My brother in law, who is a store manager for Sprint just texted me and asked me, what is the touch pro 3 and the hero2. I asked him why do you ask and he responded they are upcoming devices that are launching in Q2 and Q3. I am not trying to spread rumors, I just wanted to let everyone know what he knows. Every time something new has come along, he has always been very accurate!

would love to see if first. the tp2 did come out in Europe about this time last year, but i havent seen nothing online about a tp3, so i'd doubt this...for now.

i think its coming though...at some point.

If he is a store manager for Sprint, shouldn't he now what these devices are considering he sells the TP2 and the Hero? They would obviously be the next version of each.......

Not to be a party-pooper, but my bro is a computer engineer at Sprint Headquarters in Kansas City. He's working on the 4G (blame him if it is slow to release). Anyway, TP3 will be lucky to be on Sprint/CDMA by 2011. Like it was posted earlier, not even release date in Europe yet. HD2 is hogging up all the market...so no foldout keyboard on a Snapdragon for at least another 1 1/2 years. Sorry.

Like I said, I am just letting everyone know what is showing on his upcoming release report. Hero 2 Q2, Tp3 Q3. Believe it or not, I really don't care! Just wanted to let everybody know. On a side not, he does not know the technical specs because he is a salesperson at heart and never bothers with all the details. Just how to sell more of them!!

Yes, we need a screenshot of this.

It doesn't make any sense why someone who supposedly knows everything would be asking what a Touch Pro 3 is, and at the same time telling him about its imminent release.

Why bust his balls?? He's just passing info on. Ever heard of "Don't shoot the messenger!" ... Just say thanks and move on. Geesh!!

I will say this though- the Touch Pro 2 got announced at Mobile World Congress last year (I think), released in Europe in June (I think) and then released in Q3 on Sprint. So there is a good possibility that the Touch Pro 3 could follow a similar path.

Look for HTC to announce a Touch Pro 3 next month at Mobile World Congress if this is true.

We already know Microsoft will be announcing and showing Windows Mobile 7, so it would not be far fetched for HTC to be showing some new devices too.
