Re: gps software
If you don't want to spend money, GoogleMaps or Microsoft Live or Bing.
If you want to spend something, I like Telenav. $9.99 a month. I know there are some people who like other non-subscription apps, but they all require a specific micro SD card to be in the device, and that's a no-go for me. Just note that there's no "Verizon" version for it. After getting a subscription account from Telenav, you need to go to ota.telenav.com and navigate to Sprint/HTC and choose one of the versions there. There's one there listed for the Rhodium (TP2), version 5.5.24. Also note that if you're running 6.5, you MAY wind up with a "Cradle was not found" pop up (actually a "false error" and easily bypassed) when it launches, but I don't know for sure. It didn't happen when I was running 6.1, and I'm still not sure if I did something wrong when I set it up |
Re: gps software
After you buy garmin you can easily place it on your own card.

Re: gps software
I already have an 8 gb card, I'd hate to have to change cards every time I want to use gps. Does any software run better than others? What can I do to increase th performance of the TP2 gps, isn't ther some reg hacks? Also, what's this QuickGPS program? I just installed the verizon 6.5 update, it's pretty nice.
