SMS timestamp inconsistant (not 2016 bug)-stock rom
I am having a problem with SMS timestamps-on some messages (it's random) it will show it as being received several hours in the future and other messages in the same threaded text message will show as being my current time. This messes up the order that messages show up in tf3d. Time settings in the system menu are correct and I have only installed the HTC touch pro 2 tweaks pack and the official HTC 2016 timestamp fix. Any idea how I can fix this? Thanks!

Install Ziggy's 2016 fix, It marks the messages as the time it was recieved on the phone. So if a sms comes in at 6:58 that's what it's gonna b e marked as even if sent @ 3:09.

mine does the same...somebody can send me a text and it will be a hour ahead...but when i send it it will show the correct time...But when I go to a 3G area everything is fixed and the incoming messages will be the correct time...

install that ziggy 2016 cab, and report back with the result.

I've had the same issue myself. The phone has a very hard time knowing the correct time when you have it set to "My Location" even though it tells me what time zone i am in when i go into the time settings. The result has been my text messages have been off be sometimes 1 or 2 hours. I typically solve the issue by added the city i'm currently and setting the phone to that, but even then the phone will still have trouble sometimes and i have to reset.
Alot of time it will tell me the time in Mountain and Central times are the same but Eastern is different but then do the opposite the next day and say Central and Eastern are the same. This was all before the 2016 bug and it comes and goes randomly. |

Or just go to htc.com and download the Sprint Touch Pro 2 hotfix...which is official and not a workaround...I'm not one to download workarounds...but thats just me..

Re: SMS timestamp inconsistant (not 2016 bug)-stock rom
Ziggy's cab isn't a fix it is a work around (and always has been). It originally came out as a work around until a real fix came out. This issue with timestamps is something different and could possibly relate to the "My Location" problem that was mentioned before.
I just wanted to clarify that the real fix would be that all texts coming in are marked at the time they sent to your phone, not when your phone receives them. Lets say you turn your phone off in the movie theater and when you turn it back on you have 20 texts waiting. All of those texts are going to be timestamped for the moment they get downloaded to your phone (when you turned it back on) rather than during the two or so hours that your phone was off. Again...not trying to criticize just wanted to distinguish between "fix" and "work around". Ziggy's cab is a work around that changes the registry to mark texts with the time stamp they are DLed to the phone. So...whichever works best for you go for it. |
