Missing compime.dll to use autocomplete hack
Hi,
I just got a Verizon TouchPro2 (had it less than 24 hours) and I'm trying to use the autocomplete hack I've read so much about because I *really* miss this. (Used to have a WM6.1 i760). Before applying the regedits I decided to make sure that the compime.dll file exists in /windows - but it doesn't. So, did a lot of searching and I haven't been able to find any discussions about this. I even applied the WM6.5 upgrade from PDC - wanted that anyway - hoping a side effect would be to give me this file. No luck. Anyone have any ideas why I would be missing the file and where I can get a reliable copy of it? Searching for compime.dll files seemed to only turn up really old versions...... Thanks in advance - you have a great forum here! |

It's on my device. Silly question, but you are showing hidden files in what ever app it is your using to browse the /Windows folder right? You see other DLL files correct?

yes I am - I have found one on xda-developers so I am about to try to install it - seems to have been used quite a bit for WM6.5....
Thanks, and I'll reply back if I'm successful |
Re: Missing compime.dll to use autocomplete hack
Well I found a compime.dll cab file on xda-developers for wm6.5 and it seems to work great. So problem solved - just not sure why I couldn't find this about 5 hours ago...
