Sprint Touch Pro 2 Sim Unlocked
 

Was just wondering, my sprint htc touch pro says thay it is sim unlocked. I ran an unlocker and loaded mighty rom but i didnt use the sim unlocker. Does the sprint version of the touch pro 2 come with the sim already unlocked. Just curious. Thanks all.

No you also have to unlock the SIM. I think by default it says that but it doesn't really mean it's sim unlocked.

Don't bother paying money to unlock your sim to use on another carrier because that doesn't work!

i have read that it does. i havnt done it yet just cause of the price. but where can i find the info that says it doesnt work?

i got the unlock and i tested it on an at&t sim and can confirm that it works as long as you do it right (i did it wrong the first time)

but to answer the OP's question, you're not actually SIM unlocked unless the bootloader screen says "Security Unlocked" and you're using the 1.96.00WU radio (has to be ...WU)

unless you ran the sim unlocker, its only unlocked for international carriers.

to be able to use on US carriers you will have to actually get the sim unlocked as well as flash a new radio
