Re: Cab to enable all options on Network Services Page
Awesome! I needed this. I got a TP2 with my Moment just in case I got in real need for forced roaming and to my dismay it wasn't an option! Thank you!:headbang:

Re: Cab to enable all options on Network Services Page
is there a cab to enable all settings in Phone/Menu/Options/CDMA Services?
|
Re: Cab to enable all options on Network Services Page
Interesting - where could I read more about what all these options do, and when I would want to choose one or the other, enable or disable the choices provided, etc.?

As I understand it (limited understanding): "Band A" and "Band B" refer to the two "channels" that CDMA cell phones use. The one you choose to roam on is dependent upon the System ID (SID) of your home area. If the number is odd, then you should have it set to "Automatic A", if the number is even you should be set to "Automatic B". Automatic switches for you. Home only won't roam. |
Re: Cab to enable all options on Network Services Page
anyway to enable data roaming only?

I believe data will follow the network selections here. If you select Roam only, that should be what you get. |
Re: Cab to enable all options on Network Services Page
ok
thanks |
Re: Cab to enable all options on Network Services Page
To give you an example as far as I understand it.
Years ago, I lived in N.C. and had service(analog days) with Cellular One. They were a GTE Mobilenet company. When I would come home to FLorida, I could switch over to the "B" side network and use the GTE services while roaming and not have to pay "Roaming" charges. Now that everything is Digital, it may have changed but that's what I remember the A-B system being used for. If I am wrong now, please do correct me. I won't take it personal... |

Re: Cab to enable all options on Network Services Page
Exactly what do you want confirmed? I can confirm if you select Roam Only, then you roam only. Standard does swap from regular carrier to roam carrier, which in my case I'm sprint and we roam on verizon. And home only does stick me with just sprint.

Re: Cab to enable all options on Network Services Page
Can someone explain again what's Auto-A and Auto-B? I take it "Standard" is the old version of "Automatic"?
