6.1 start menu on 6.5? (VZW)
 

I have a vzw TP2 running the vzw 6.5 rom. 6.5 has been great so far (mainly because they fixed the crappy BT stack!) but there is one thing I really miss - the 6.1 start menu. is there any way to have this back? I have disabled sense and have just the blank today screen... gonna find a shell I like, but want the small, clean start menu from 6.1...

Yea, QM is a nice option too although it is buggy with certain ROMs & works fine with others.

It did work great for me with the stock VZ 6.1 ROM but I don't know how it would work with this setup.

I would second the Awesome Start menu. It also has a program to put your installed apps into whichever folder you choose, its really simple... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=587631

I would third the quickmenu. It came with my EnergyROM, and it's pretty nice (although I still use the WM6.5.3 start menu).

quick menu , by far the best one the very last version is totaly BUG FREE

I too use Quickmenu and works on Mighty rom 6.5 or War rom. Not exactly the same as what you're asking though.

By the way, what did they fix in the BT stack?

went with QM. use to use it back in my 6700 days.... like an old friend...

i spoke too soon about the bluetooth stack... in VZW6.1 (for TP2), they used a different BT driver (widcom instead of microsoft?) and there were a TON of people that had problems... search the boards... my jawbone would pair, but i couldnt answer or hang up from headset. my incar -parrot would answer via the dash unit, but wouldn't hang up. even worse, when the parrot was syncing phone book info, (bt object transfer), the TP2 slows down to a c-r-a-w-l.

anyways, my new 6.5-TP2 worked great with the jawbone, but i am STILL having the object transfer issue with the parrot....

sucks......
