Text messaging issue...not a repeat question
 

I had the 2016 issue and installed the rom to fix it, now it works great.

Only issue is on the main screen when I get a new text and scroll over to see what it is it isnt updating. It is stuck on the last text prior to installing the rom fix for 2016.

Any thoughts or suggestions ???

ROM issue....go back to the stock ROM....hense why there non supported...since they are not official...and mended by TP2 users like us...If you can't stand the stock ROM, try another one...

What has happend is your text messages from 2016 are the "newest" ones. The ones that you get now will not update to be the first one because the "newest" one is dated for the year 2016. The ones that you get now are "older" than the year you have prior to you adding the cab fix. Its a little confusing but I hope I made it clearer for you. Just delete all the ones that you have dated for 2016 and you should start getting the newest one show up first.

Just wanted to confirm that this does fix the "problem" There's nothing wrong with the Rom version you have. I went back and deleted all text dated for 2016 and the screen started updating with the correct text afterwards.

I tried deleting them but on the TF the SMS messages doesn't update.
Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong ?

so you went into the sms/mms under "all messages" and deleted the messages there were labeled for 2016? try deleting the entire affected threads and soft-resetting that should work
