What are my options with my broke TP1?
Just curious of my options here. I bought my TP1 from ebay for $300 back in the first part of the year. I had to replace it once I believe. The keyboard started to act up so I used my $150 rebate for the TP2. I know sprint will buy it back for next to nothing, but I kinda want to keep it for a back up. Problem is, the keyboard finally bit the dust. It doesn't work at all.
I'm not trying to rip sprint a new one here. I'm wanting to know my options. Insurance is on the line correct? Not the phone. I really want to keep the TP1 for backup or just in case I want to jump back to have something different. Is it even possible to get it fixed? Or, are they replacing them with TP2's? I guess one option I remember is taking the phone apart making sure the ribbon connector is in place. I ask this here in the TP2 sections since most came from the TP1. Any ideas? |

Insurance is on the line, yes, but only the phone that is activated on the line is covered. You can activate the TP1 and after 30 days it can be repaired. Keep in mind, that if you just got the TP2 you probably need to wait a month to get your mail in rebate first.
