Is anyone else angry with there Touch Pro 2. . . .I mean come on you pay up to $600 for this thing and this thing is worse then the first Pro. . . .It may not be all that bad Im just ranting I been happier with the Pro 2 so far seems more solid then the first and I dont seem to have a problem with it crashing like I did the first Pro how ever there is a couple things on the first Pro I miss that I cant seem to get the Pro 2 to do for me. . . .I use my Pros for mp3 players on the first Pro I had to use the bulky HTC ear buds but the sound was good. . . .Now on the Pro 2 I can use my good ear buds but when I plug them in the head phone jack the sound quality goes way down even tho I have the booster on and the phone volume all the way up,but if I use the HTC budson my Pro 2 the volume goes back up :dontknow:This same thing happens when I hook it to my stereo I have to turn the volume all the way up on the stereo to get any sound and it sounds like crap but the first Pro sounded great,plus theres no phone lock like on the first Pro so when I put it in the case with the ear buds touch flo starts going crazy. . . .The other gripe I have Im always organizing my phone I cant seem to copy past very well,on the first Pro I could easily select one folder or object or even two or three folders or objects copy them then paste them in another folder. . . .But on the Pro 2 I can only select one folder or object or all of them then copy and paste. . . .To sum it up I cant get decent sound out of the head phone jack on the Pro 2,there is no phone lock,cant get copy paste work right and last but not least camera quality my pics are fuzzy and crappy I take the same pic with my wifes Touch Pro on the same quality hers comes out better then mine. . . .I appoligize first post it rather large just seein if any body havin similer gripes or input. . . .

nope. I love my TP2

I think the biggest problem is that you paid $600 for it. :)

Dude, crank that font size down!

There is a lock . . . Start, Settings, Lock

Try Resco Explorer for copying, pasting, moving. You can't do more than one folder at a time, but you can quickly highlight a folder and then use the context menu to copy, paste, move, etc.

my tp2 was free...maybe if i paid 600 for it i'd be a little angry at the fact i paid 600 for it....

i really don't know where to start with this....i would love to help you, but i can't read big text. i use my tp2 the same as you, i listen to music all the time and windows media player hasn't changed that much since i had my treo 700wx. i can tell you to not use the 3.5mm jack, it's suspect. use the tp dongle and the mini usb port, you'll have no problems.

i like mine wayyyyyy better ... with my tp1 i was in the sprint store about once every 2-3 weeks cuz it was a POS no matter how you look at it ..... yea the tp2 is missing a few things that would make it the best phone but its definetly a quality phone .... i have not been in the sprint store since i got it for problems ... well tomorrow i will be going but its only because the phone took a plunge & its not because of build issues .. best thing about tp1 to me was, getting my free upgrade to tp2 lol

The original post was difficult to read...

I didn't pay $600 for my TP2, but I'm satisfied. A few kinks in HTC/WinMo implementation that have been mostly resolved for me with various tweaks and 3rd party apps.

I'm satisfied.

nope I didnt pay 600 for it but thats what sprint wanted for it tho I was lucky enuff to have them replace my touch pro after about the 5th time for the pro 2 . Im just sayin they expect that much for the phone but some things seem to not work as good as the first

Hey man, do you have a volume rocker on your htc earphones? I have some htc headphones that have the volume rocker and sometimes I forget about it

I love my tp2, and if ya got a ctrl key and shift, use the shift + up or down to select and highlight multiple files, then press and hold screen and push cut or copy......... Easy as pie.........

The other gripes I DONT GET, this is a amazing device, I have not 1 issue with my Tp2, except now a Snapdragons out I want it.....

Lmao almost fell of my chair, but anyways i love my pro2 i paid 100$ for it, i do miss the dpad and the ok button, But So Far its the best ppc ive had next to my mogul (which i loved more then my 6700 and TP1) and i think they really improved big time on the tp2

Nothing wrong with ranting and letting off some steam but it is obvious that many of the problems you are complaining about have fairly simply solutions. It's a new phone so it is not going to operate the exact same way as your old phone. Once you learn how to use it, I think it will become much more enjoyable use. If not, there are plenty of other phones to try out. No one says you have to love the TP2.

Thanks man and like I been tellin everyone else I appologize for the large font ](*,)lol If I use the HTC ear buds they sound pretty good but I just hate the large ear buds kinda disapointed cant use the head phone jack kind seem suspect like you said but thanks for the input tho

yep I agree way more stable then the first pro just pissd about few little things but I too got the pro 2 free after taking my pos pro in for like the 5th time

no my htc buds dont have volume rocker. .the htc buds sound fine I just dont like how big they are they barely fit in my ears lol so I used a good set of buds that also dont a volume rocker but they sound like crap through the head phone jack

yep you rite Iv had this pro 2 for a couple months and do like it allot better the the first pro I can usualy figure things out I guess Im more aggravated with the sound and not bein able use head phone jack like i would like and I dont beleive ther be a fix for that owell Ill just use my htc buds I guess thanks again man

I'm stoked with my TP2. In fact, I just flew with United from Brazil to Vancouver and it pretty much saved my life.
Rio to Washington, DC had the early 90's entertainment system where you could change channels from 1-6 to watch crappy movies or TV on a shitty little LCD on the back of the seat in front of you, no touch-screen, totally not on demand. Washington to Chicago had WB shows on drop-down screens, your choice of entertainment was to listen or not to listen. Chicago to Vancouver didn't even have screens. Yup, United really knows how to treat their passengers.
Throughout it all, I had my TP2 loaded up with TV shows, music videos and movies, all encoded to MP4 to watch in Album (hardware acceleration, holla!), all ready to watch on demand. Sound was taken care of by a pair of mid-range Sony over-the-ear headphones plugged into the 3.5mm jack, no volume issues at all. Without it, I probably would have committed suicide by eating the crap that United had the balls to call food.

In the 3 days I've had this thing, I've been completely happy with it. I've never used my phone for music, that's why I have a Zune. Like someone else said I kinda misss the OK button and D-pad, but that's it.

I fly United all the time and am familiar with their lack of entertainment options (unless you're lucky enough to fly in their new International Business or First Class seats - the entertainment system in those seats is quite good!).

My question to you: you flew about 16 hours by my calculations with no in-seat power. How did you get your TP2 to last the whole 2 flights?

i'm not answering for them, but with minimal use, the tp2 will last me 36-48 hours. on airplane mode, yes, it's possible.

The flight from Rio to DC was about 9 hours, DC to Chicago and Chicago to Vancouver were both pretty short. I did charge at airports, but I never ran out of juice. It was on Airplane Mode the entire time, so I think that the radios do use quite a bit of power when they're on.

man reading the post is like reading a book to a kindergarden class lol..next time make it easier for us to help you out..

but first! buy new ear phones for listening to mp3! there not all the same..

next you can lock your phone under settings not to hard to do..and with the camera i know it dont have flash but i rather not have it..since the flash all it does mess the pictures up even more...i used my LED on my mogul for a flashlight long time ago thats all lol..it takes very nice crisp pictures..mess with the settings under advanced..its all to the users it dont come out the box taking best pictures..different people have different view of things...

ITS NOT HARD TO DO..or..if you dont like it switch back to pro 1 since its "better" and friendly then pro2..im just being honest and simple lol...to me tp2 blows tp1 away!!..cant see my self going back to a 2.8 screen lol its the only real reason why i switched to tp2 :salute:

I paid $400 for mine and it's worth every penny.

My only complaint would be that it doesn't have the Snapdragon CPU. :D

I am on number 3. The first was due to a very loose USB, over heating and lots of lag. Number 2 was due to a not so loose USB. This one is fine. I believe the problem came from FlexMail. After uninstalling FlexMail the lag stopped. So my complaint is that FlexMail does not run well on it, though it ran like a champ on my Touch Pro.

I do not miss the D-Pad. In fact, I hated the D-Pad. I have no lags, freezes, lock ups, resets, et cetera. I do carry a 2nd battery for those times when I have heavy usage and cannot charge it in the car.
