Help Teathering

Okay so i am having a problem teathering my phone to my laptop i tried using the cab. in the helpful mods thread and it worked twice both times it took me 20 minutes of playing around with it to work. i uninstalled my other cabs to try and get it to work and it still doesn't. anyone have any ideas. i uninstalled the teathering cab. and reinstalled it and it still isnt working. i got it to work twice but idk whats going on with it. i understand theres other threads about teathering but when i post i get no help so i figured i would start my own to c if it would help me out

you can use this...it turns your phone into a router wireless..i think the code is 123456789..works perfect

install it on your phone then on your pc youll see it under your wireless connections available i think itll say htc then enter the code and your connected.

I believe even with the htc wifi, you still have to have internet sharing working. search for CMkiller cab to fix CMguardian from changing the registry back, then the ICS and wmmodem fix from the tips and trips section. this will make it work . the first time you use the internet sharing app, you have to select sprint or whatever and change it from phone as modem. it will not connect with Phone as modem selected. u also may have to start a connection with opera or another browser on the phone and leave it running in the background. then run ICS. also on the computer your using , go to windows mobile device center and uncheck everything but allow connection on device when connected to pc.

OK - trying to understand what worked and what didn't...I've read over thread after thread on teathering....and it seems like everytime something works someone else comments that it doesn't. Maybe I should start a new thread requesting an idiot's guide to stealth teathering.

Sorry guys-maybe I'm the idoit - just trying to fingure out what I need to do with verizon so I don't see the big bills when I hook up my laptop.

Thanks alot! This worked perfectly for me.

Now my next question is how to enable the stealth setting so that I won't get caught by Sprint...
